Although raised in Northern Virginia, I have family roots in the New River Valley and have lived in Blacksburg for over twenty years. My husband and I both attended Virginia Tech and Bluefield College and are former downtown Blacksburg restaurant owners.
This has been an ideal place to raise our three children who are currently in elementary school, high school, and college at Virginia Tech. Prior to entering the real estate world, I devoted my time to raising our children and actively contributing to our community by volunteering at various local organizations. I have had the pleasure of creating lasting friendships with so many of our region’s greatest assets - its residents!
I bring to my career a great enthusiasm for real estate and a dedication to the residents, both current and future, of this incredible region of Virginia that we are fortunate to call home. Sheila has a MA in education and taught special education and early childhood for many years prior to getting her license in real estate. Her teaching experience has provided her with endless patience, empathy and dedication for others. Sheila would say that the most important aspects in both of these careers are, "listening and communicating effectively!"
Sheila and her husband have three children ranging from elementary school age up to college age. They also have a sweet and energetic, yellow lab puppy, who keeps them on their toes! When not attending their kids' sporting events or school activities, Sheila and her family love to spend time taking their puppy on walks, spending time on the lake, and visiting with friends and family.
Sheila has always had an interest in real estate, but after doing several big moves across the country with her family, she decided she wanted to help make the buying and selling process a pleasant experience for others. Her humor and easy going personality help put people at ease. Her attention to detail and communication skills are key in the real estate business.
